Health, Education and Safe Water for All:
Join the growing global movement

Every day in poor countries, teachers and health care workers are changing people’s lives.  They work against the odds to provide quality education, health care, and safe water to drink– despite poor pay and a lack of equipment and materials.
But millions of people are still missing out: Today

4,000 children will die from diarrhea caused by drinking dirty water

80 million children, most of them girls, will not go to school.

1,400 women will die needlessly in pregnancy or childbirth.

This has to change The world needs free public health care, education and safe water. The world needs six million more trained teachers and health workers. To make this happen, the world needs you to put pressure on governments and decision-makers.

Join the growing global movement demanding Health, Education and Safe Water for All.

Help us send a message to our political leaders demanding that Canada play its part.

Health, Education, and Safe Water for All
-----------------------------------------------------------------

The world needs six million more trained education and health care workers.

The world needs safe water to drink.

I am ready to take action, and to call for action from governments and institutions to ensure quality public services for all. Public services fight poverty – especially for women and girls.

Change is possible.

I call on the Government of Canada to:

  • Set a timetable for raising aid to 0.7% of national income
  • Increase aid to support public services for all
  • Ensure our aid won’t promote privatization of public services
  • Work with others to cancel poor countries’ debts
