STOP ARMS SALES TO ISRAEL

Canada’s export of military weapons and arms to Israel is fueling one of the deadliest and most destructive wars in modern history. 

The continuous bombardment of Gaza is a complete and utter injustice and obstructs any possibility of distributing life-saving humanitarian aid. Over 200 humanitarian aid workers have already lost their lives trying to distribute critical supplies and provide medical services. 

Canada must immediately stop all weapons, parts and ammunition transfers to Israel. While Canada has put a freeze on all new arms export permits, it is critical to suspend permits already approved, and put in place measures to prevent weapons and arms manufactured in Canada from reaching Israel through the United States. Between October and December 2023 alone, Canada approved $30M of arms exports, more than in any given year over the past 30 years. 

As the devastation in Gaza escalates to alarming levels, it’s time to speak out and demand Canada stop selling arms to Israel RIGHT NOW. 

Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly has the power to suspend all arms exports, including those already approved.
