STOP ARMS SALES TO ISRAEL

Canada’s export of military weapons and arms to Israel is fueling one of the deadliest and most destructive wars in modern history.

The Israeli military onslaught, which has included dropping at least 45,000 bombs within the first three months of the war, has killed at least 33,000 people, about 180 a day. Hundreds of humanitarian aid workers have already lost their lives. UNICEF reported that, by the 7th of January 2024, more than 1,000 children had one or both legs amputated.

Canada must immediately stop all weapons, parts and ammunition transfers to Israel. While Canada has put a freeze on all new arms export permits, it is critical to suspend permits already approved, and put in place measures to prevent weapons and arms manufactured in Canada from reaching Israel through the United States. Between October and December 2023 alone, Canada approved $30M of arms exports, more than in any given year over the past 30 years.

As the devastation in Gaza escalates to alarming levels, it’s time to speak out and demand Canada stop selling arms to Israel RIGHT NOW

Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly has the power to suspend all arms exports, including those already approved.

SEND A LETTER TO CANADA’S MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, MELANIE JOLY, TO USE HER POWER TO SUSPEND ARMS TRANSFERS.
