The richest 1% emit as much carbon pollution as the poorest two-thirds of humanity. Yet, who faces the worst brunt of climate emergencies? People living in poverty.

Wealthy countries have grown rich through burning carbon, emitting far more than the global majority. Yet, which countries are being ravaged by floods, wildfires, heatwaves, droughts, cyclones, and rising sea levels more frequently with fewer resources to respond? The global south.

Fossil fuel corporations have made record profits over the last few years. Yet, the average person is struggling to make ends meet, paying the highest price for climate change. You and I are paying the price for a crisis created by billionaires and the biggest carbon emitters.

Let’s not accept this as our future. Let’s prevent this suffering for generations to come. Let’s change the story.
